Finishing the rewiring

The rewiring was completed but the standard of work by the electrician was bad. 1) Some wires in the chasing for the light switches and the plugs was too level with the plaster making it hard to plaster over the top and he nearly destroyed the bathroom wall putting in a new switch. My own fault for getting his name off the internet instead of getting a recomendation. Anyhow its nearly finished now.

the Kitchen not fit for a king yet

Here is the Kitchen, but don't blink because the whole house needs rewiring so everything will be out and a new kitchen fitted.

what a mess

After clearing the house of most of the furniture i was left with these few things which Leicester council took away eventually. Next stage is to strip the paper.

new doors and windows and painted

Here is the first job completed, New doors and windows and a nice new coat of paint, its a shame the inside doesn't look as nice as the outside, but at least we have some progress.

I bought this in August 2009

This is the house i was umming and arrring about throughout 2009 and finally took the plunge and raised the cash to buy it. Luckily I live next door so its quite convenient for any work that needs doing. All the furniture and some personal things belonging to the previous owner (Eric) were still in the house so i had to do a complete clearance before any work could be done. my second job was to put in new windows and doors, and to paint it. I have decided to put in matching doors and windows just in case i decide to knock it through into one house, and paint it the same colour, yes good ole magnolia. Fantastico.
